How to play from your computer

 Step 1:  Obtain your iPod Touch or iPhone's UDID

  • Connect your iPhone to iTunes and click on your iPhone under devices

  • In the device information screen you can see the following: Name, Capacity, Software Version, Serial Number, Phone Number.

    Click on Serial Number, and Identifier will show up.

    Try clicking on other parameter names for things like: IMEI, Build Version, ICCID.

  • OK, you are ready to copy your Identifier (UDID).

    Left Mouse Click on the number and hold it, press CTRL-C on your keyboard, and you are done.

Step 2:  Obtain your iPod Touch or iPhone's PF number (for Kingdoms Live  and World War game)

  • Go to http://livecodes.info/udid.php
  • WARNING:  Giving out your UDID will allow others to access your account.  This is a SAFE and TRUSTED website (also close affiliate of Live Tavern).  I suggest testing it first (make up a random UDID number, read BONUS)
  • BONUS: You can make up your own UDID numbers (for example: 123456789), get the PF number and have control of multiple accounts! Shhh, I didn't tell you this.
  • Copy down your PF number that you will obtain once you type your UDID number

OBJECTIVE:

When playing Kingdoms Live, one should focus on having a high income of money.  As I have noticed, to be successful, your main objective in the game should be to ...

  • Have a high rate of incoming money by purchasing land
  • Have army members and items to defend it from other people

CHOOSING RACE:

At the top of your page there are timers on 4 objects (Gold, Health, Mana, and Spirit).  These are explained below.

  • Human - Reduce the time on gold from 60 minutes to 50 minutes.  Later in the game this is a great advantage against other players.  To put it into perspective, instead of getting paid 24 times a day, one gets paid 28.8 times a day.
  • Elf - Reduces mana timer from 5 minutes to 4 minutes.  More quests, more cash.
  • Orc - Reduces health timer from 3 minutes to 2 minutes.  Heal faster!

Analysis.  Humans > Elves > Orcs.  Humans and Elves are both greater for making money.  In the later levels,  the reduction of gold timer will benefit you more.  Orcs are bad.  Health is the only skills that can be refilled with cash (a small amount may I add).  Also, overnight - you heal faster and get attacked more.  If you chose Orcs,  I feel sorry - don't quit, you just have it tougher until there is an update.

CHOOSING CLASS:

  • Warrior - Items in armory give you a boost when fighting in a battle
  • Mage - Spells will give you a boost when fighting in a battle
  • Rogue - Steals more coins when attacking. 
Analysis:  They are fairly even.  Most tend to say Warrior > Mage > Rogue, however.  If you are a mage make sure you have good spells, and if you are a warrior make sure you have good armor / weapons.

 

SKILL POINTS:

"Where do I put all my skill points?", is a common question.

  • HP - Allow you to go on longer attacking sprees before re-healing.   It will NOT give you an advantage in battle.
  • Mana - Needed to do quests (which are great for earning money and getting quest items)
  • Spirit - Number of times you can attack until spirit is back above 0
  • Attack and Defense - This will increase your attack and defense (not you army's!)

My opinion?  Don't buy a lot of HP (no more than 120ish - and ideally at 100) because the cost to re-heal is far less than the value of other skill points.  I only have 4 spirit points and it is working great for me.  Only buy mana when you need it for quests.  There are two great quests that costs 21 & 25 mana points and gives the chance of getting a goblin sword drop and the mace (I am at 25 mana points and plan to stay there for a while). MOST of your skill points should go into ATTACK and DEFENSE!  You will benefit from this the most.

New: DO NOT bring your mana above 25 points if it is not too late.  The money you can make from land income becomes far greater than money made from quests.  This may change if a loot drop better than the 25 mana mace comes out.  Put these skill points in attack / defense instead

ECONOMY:

Start off by buying lots of land.  You can determine which land is the smartest purchase for you based on amount of money made per cost of land.  Every time you log in, you should deposit all your money into the vault or spend it on items.  The vault is a great way to keep your money safe from attacks, even though you lose 10% of what you deposit.  The max someone can steal from you by attacking you is 1000 coins.  There comes a point where vaulting money costs more than letting people attack you due to this cap.

Some items have an upkeep fee.  Do not let the sum of upkeep fees be greater than your income from land!  A general rule of thumb is that your upkeep fees should be equal to 10% of your income from land.

ARMY:

You can recruit people by advertising your army code. 

There are two basic strategies.  In both cases, you want to have as many items as you can per army member.  So if you have 10 army members, you should have 10 weapons, 10 armor, and 10 spells.

  • Option 1: Minimize army and use decent items. Having a small army puts you on the attack boards of other people with similar sized armies (although, the higher level you are, the less true this is due to fewer people being in your range).  Only have as large of an army as you can control.
  • Option 2: Maximize army and use cheap items.  Get as large of an army as you can, and go for cheap items (broad swords, leather armor, and fireballs)
  • Eventually (starting around level 25) you will want to slowly combine both methods to have a good army and good weapons (After all, what is the point of the game then?)

BASIC STRATEGY:

The more you play, the more you can do quests, deposit your hourly money, and buy items.  A little addicting, huh?  This game is best played in 5 minute intervals every couple of hours.  Unless you are on a killing spree, do not waste hours playing this game or waiting for your hourly money to appear.  If you are a student in college or grade school, check your account in the morning, before you go to classes.  You'll have made a lot overnight!

Be sure to advertise your army code!

Be careful when you comment on people's profiles.  As there is no way to search for people, that gives them a direct link to attack you.  I learned this the hard way.  I commented on Theif's profile, "i before e except after c", and I now suffer a daily beating.

When you are not attacking try to be at a low health.  Remember no one can attack you if you are below 26 health, so right before you're done playing for a few hours, attack people until you have the lowest health possible.  Do not stop playing @ full health (unless you want to come back broke and at low health)

Unfortunately by saying this I am making myself a target, but ATTACK PEOPLE WITH LOW ARMIES, INEFFICIENT ITEMS, AND LOTS OF LAND.  Many people skip out on spells - they are the ones who will lose easily.
